5x7" (13cmx18cm)
Small study of single daffodil. The striking spring colours of yellow and orange are highlighted against the dark black background, reminiscent of Victorian Botanical paintings. This was in part inspired by the timing of the year of lockdown March 23rd and the work of Marie Curie who obviously use the daffodil as their symbol. I therefore pledge to donate 15% of the sale to Marie Curie (sorry, you may have to trust me, I could not think how to sort this out on my website but I will donate!)
I think this could look lovely in a heavy moulded frame. Sold as is, unframed, acrylic on canvas board, signed on front.
