Jackie was photographed wearing this ‘astrologie’ scarf, designed by francois Facconet in 1963 and remaining one of the brands bestsellers. I planned the painting around utilising the Hermés logo that is printed in the centre of the box lid and the central sun design of the scarf fits this perfectly. Jackie is in her trademark gloves and dark glasses to avoid the flash bulbs of the paparazzi… Lid framed in 2.5 cm deep black wood, glazed to show the sides of boxlid, I have signed and titled on the box side.
